Fiona Barton is a British journalist-turned-novelist best known for her bestselling psychological thrillers. Born in Cambridge, she worked for national newspapers including the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph and the Mail on Sunday (where she was named Reporter of the Year). Her reporting on high-profile criminal cases inspired her fiction, beginning with her debut The Widow, which became a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller and has been published in numerous countries and optioned for television. Barton divides her time between the UK and south-west France and also works as a media trainer.
