Kimberly Elam

Kimberly Elam is a designer and educator best known for her work on visual proportion and composition. She is the author of Geometry of Design: Studies in Proportion and Composition (Princeton Architectural Press, 2001) and has served as chair of the Graphic and Interactive Communication Department at the Ringling School of Art and Design. Her work examines geometric systems and proportional relationships in twentieth-century design, architecture, and illustration.
