Her work spans science and nature topics for young readers; she has authored multiple National Geographic Kids titles and contributed to Scholastic magazines and TED-Ed videos. She holds a master’s degree in science journalism from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in biological anthropology from the University of California, San Diego. She lives outside Seattle, Washington.
