
Rebecca Armitage
Rebecca Armitage is an Australian journalist and author known for her interest in writing about royalty. Her debut novel, "The Heir Apparent," was a Reese's Book Club pick in December 2025. As a journalist for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), she has covered significant royal events, including the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the coronation of King Charles III, the exile of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, and the abdication of Queen Margrethe of Denmark. She has also covered US elections and the war in Gaza as a digital editor for the ABC's International news team. Armitage lives in Hobart, Tasmania, with her husband and her German Shorthaired Pointer, Chino.
