K L Speer
K.L. Speer is a writer and artist who lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband, two children, and numerous animals. She grew up on a quiet hobby farm in remote northwestern Montana, where she tended goats and chickens, explored the woods with a vivid imagination, and devoured every book within reach. Speer started writing her first novel at twelve, but it was lost. She has written countless stories, sometimes for fun and sometimes as a refuge during mental health struggles. After being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, she completed her first novel, 'Bones,' and embraced self-publishing. Drawing on her art and design background, she created the art, covers, and layout for the indie editions of 'The Bones Series.' Her mental health journey deeply influences her portrayal of raw, emotional characters and the transformative strength of found family.
