The X-Files Origins: Agent of Chaos
This novel explores the teen years of Fox Mulder and reveals how he became 'a believer.' The story is set in the spring of 1979, with seventeen-year-old Fox Mulder living in Washington, D.C., still grappling with the abduction of his little sister, Samantha. His father has moved the family to help them cope, but when serial murder, the occult, and government conspiracy make headlines, Mulder's past awakens with renewed intensity. The disappearance of local children forces him to confront his twin demons of guilt and hope, driving him to pursue the serial killer in a desperate attempt to find his sister or, at the very least, save the other children. These life-changing events set him on the path to becoming the FBI agent seen in the cult-favorite TV show, The X-Files.
