Cry for Kit

Glamorous Kit Jeffries, happily married to a wealthy American, never forgot the illegitimate son she was forced to leave in her sister's care eighteen years before. Widowed, she returns home to establish contact with her son, but her arrival awakens long-forgotten emotions in herself and the circle of friends in which she once moved. Some of her old friends are happy to see her, but others are angry she has returned. She is attacked one night, robbed of her charm bracelet and her famous 'femme fatale' charm, and told to get out of town. Bewildered and unhappy, Kit finds herself fighting not only for her own life, but also for the lives of those she loves best.
