James E. Gerholdt

James E. Gerholdt is an American author of children's nonfiction books focused on animals, especially reptiles, amphibians, insects, spiders, and birds. He has written dozens of short, illustrated educational titles for young readers (grades K–2) published by ABDO/Checkerboard and related imprints and has presented outreach programs about reptiles and other wildlife in Minnesota since the mid-1980s.
