Jayne Ann Krentz (born Jayne Ann Castle) is an American bestselling novelist known for contemporary romantic suspense (as Jayne Ann Krentz), historical romantic suspense (as Amanda Quick), and futuristic/paranormal romantic suspense (as Jayne Castle). She has written more than a hundred novels with over 30–35 million copies in print, created the futuristic romance subgenre with Sweet Starfire, and is the editor/contributor of the essay collection Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
