Mel Boring

Melvin Lyle Boring (born September 12, 1939) is an American children's author and educator who specializes in non-fiction for young readers. He has written books focused on nature, science, and history and has spoken widely to students about writing and publishing. His works include Take-Along Guides and titles such as Incredible Constructions and the People Who Built Them, Caterpillars, Bugs, and Butterflies, and Guinea Pig Scientists (coauthored with Leslie Dendy).
