Sara Gruen

Sara Gruen (born 1969) is a Canadian–American novelist best known for her 2006 bestseller Water for Elephants. Her books often feature animals and historical settings; her work has been translated into dozens of languages and adapted for film and stage. She lives in western North Carolina with her family.
