Kurt Palka

Kurt Palka (born in Klagenfurt, Austria) was an author and journalist whose work includes several historical novels set in Europe and Canada. He began his working life in Africa as a journalist and wildlife filmmaker, later moving to Canada where he worked in television news and as a senior producer for the CBC. Palka published multiple novels including Rosegarden, The Piano Maker, Clara (a Hammett Prize finalist), The Hour of the Fox, and The Orphan Girl; his work has been published across the Commonwealth and in several countries in Europe and Asia.
