Emily Habeck is an American novelist and playwright from Ardmore, Oklahoma. She holds a BFA in Theater from Southern Methodist University and master’s degrees from Vanderbilt Divinity School and Vanderbilt’s Peabody College. Her debut novel, Shark Heart: A Love Story (published August 8, 2023), received wide recognition including New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice, USA TODAY bestseller status, and multiple award nominations.
