Thomas Perry
Thomas Perry was an American novelist best known for his tightly plotted mystery and thriller novels, including The Butcher's Boy and the Jane Whitefield series. He earned a B.A. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Rochester, worked in a variety of occupations before becoming a full-time writer, and wrote novels, television scripts, and screen material over a multi-decade career. He received the Edgar Award for Best First Novel for The Butcher's Boy and accrued a large readership for his suspense fiction.
