Barry Eisler

Barry Eisler is an American novelist best known for his thriller series featuring the assassin John Rain. A former CIA operations officer and Cornell Law School graduate, Eisler worked as a technology lawyer and startup executive before becoming a full-time writer. His novels have won awards (including the Barry Award and the Gumshoe Award), been translated into many languages, and adapted for screen in Japan. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and writes about national security, politics, and language in addition to fiction.
