Tom Clancy
Thomas Leo Clancy Jr. (April 12, 1947 – October 1, 2013) was an American novelist best known for creating the techno-thriller genre. His novels, frequently featuring CIA analyst Jack Ryan, combined detailed military and intelligence knowledge with fast-paced plots; many became bestsellers and were adapted for film, television, and video games. Clancy began publishing in the 1980s with The Hunt for Red October and remained a prominent author of military and espionage fiction until his death.
