Jonathan Lethem

Jonathan Lethem is an acclaimed American novelist, essayist, and short story writer known for his genre-bending work that often blends elements of science fiction, detective fiction, and literary realism. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he gained mainstream success with his novel 'Motherless Brooklyn' (1999), which won the National Book Critics Circle Award. He is also a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship, and has served as a professor of creative writing at Pomona College.
