Edith Eva Eger is a Hungarian-born American clinical psychologist and Holocaust survivor. After surviving Auschwitz and other concentration camps during World War II, she immigrated to the United States in 1949. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology and has dedicated her career to treating trauma, particularly among veterans and survivors of abuse. She is the author of the bestselling memoir 'The Choice: Embrace the Possible' and 'The Gift: 12 Lessons to Save Your Life'.
