Vanessa Riley is an award-winning American author of Caribbean descent, known for her historical fiction, romance, and mystery novels. Her work often highlights the hidden narratives of Black women and women of color, emphasizing themes of power, love, sisterhood, and resilience. Riley holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and previously worked as an engineer. She is a frequent speaker at literary, women's, and STEM events and is passionate about advocating for diverse voices in literature. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
