Neil Strauss is an American author, journalist, and ghostwriter, best known for his New York Times bestsellers "The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists" and "Rules of the Game." He is also the co-author of several other bestsellers, including "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star" with Jenna Jameson, "The Dirt" with Mötley Crüe, and "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell" with Marilyn Manson. Strauss has been a contributing editor at Rolling Stone and a music critic, cultural reporter, and columnist at The New York Times, where he won the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award for excellence in music journalism. His work often involves going undercover to explore controversial subcultures and has been featured in numerous publications.
