
Matthew Desmond
Matthew Desmond is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and sociologist, currently serving as the Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University. He is also the Founding Director and Principal Investigator of The Eviction Lab. Desmond's work primarily focuses on urban sociology, poverty, race and ethnicity, and ethnography. He has authored several books, including 'Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City,' which received widespread acclaim and numerous awards, and 'Poverty, by America.' His research and writing often explore themes of housing insecurity, social justice, and economic inequality.
