Ryan T. Higgins
Ryan T. Higgins is an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for his "Mother Bruce" and "Penelope Rex" series. His work often features humorous and engaging characters, exploring themes of friendship, perseverance, and self-acceptance. Higgins graduated from the College of the Atlantic in 2006 and currently lives in Maine with his wife, children, and a menagerie of pets. He was inspired to write for children by his father's storytelling and by the work of authors like Mo Willems. Higgins initially pursued a degree in ecology, with a backup plan to become a field biologist, but his passion for cartooning and art led him to a career in children's literature.
