Jonathan Franklin is an American author, investigative journalist, and TV commentator specializing in Latin American politics and news. He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, and raised in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Franklin attended Brown University and has lived in Santiago, Chile, since 1995 with his wife and daughters. He is a co-founder of Addictvillage, a news and media agency based in Chile. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including The Guardian, VICE, Esquire, Playboy, GQ, and Marie Claire. Franklin's reporting has also been featured on CBS 60 Minutes, A&E TV, and the BBC.
