Andrew Lownie

Andrew Lownie is a British historian, author, and literary agent known for his biographies of writers, political figures, intelligence officers, and members of the British royal family. His books combine archival research with narrative biography, often examining the private relationships and public roles of influential figures. He founded the Andrew Lownie Literary Agency in 1988, which specializes in non-fiction. Lownie also founded The Biographers' Club in 1998 to support first-time biographers.
