She lives in Texas and often finds inspiration with a cup of coffee and a cat nearby. Her work has been translated into over fifteen languages. Olson's writing journey began after feeling creatively unfulfilled in customer service roles, leading her to pursue a passion for creating worlds and characters. She studied international relations and political science at the University of North Texas, which influenced her approach to plotting and world-building.
