Marisa de los Santos is a New York Times bestselling author and award-winning poet with a PhD in literature and creative writing. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she grew up in Northern Virginia. She has taught English at the University of Delaware. De los Santos has received a grant from the Delaware Arts Council and the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Award. She writes novels and poetry, with her poems appearing in various literary journals. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware, with her husband, David Teague, and their two children.
