Taj McCoy

Taj McCoy is an Oakland-born author, literary agent, and higher education consultant. She is committed to writing and representing stories that champion Black and multiracial women of color, plus-sized protagonists, Black love, and characters with strong senses of sisterhood and familial bonds. McCoy's work often explores themes of Black joy, fat joy, and celebrations of culture and love without limitations. She has authored "Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell," "Zora Books Her Happy Ever After," and edited the anthology "Even If the Sky Is Falling." Her debut novel, "Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell," was adapted into a film featured on The CW. McCoy also works as a literary agent, aiming to broaden opportunities for marginalized authors in the publishing industry.
