Shelly Kagan

Shelly Kagan is the Clark Professor of Philosophy at Yale University, where he has taught since 1995. He is best known for his writings about animal ethics, moral philosophy, normative ethics, and the philosophy of death. His course on death, offered online in 2007, became very popular and led to a book on the subject in 2012. Kagan was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2016.
