Carley Fortune
Carley Fortune is a Canadian journalist-turned-novelist from Toronto. A former editor and contributor at publications including Refinery29 Canada, The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine and Toronto Life, she published her debut novel Every Summer After in 2022 and followed with Meet Me at the Lake (2023), This Summer Will Be Different (2024) and One Golden Summer (2025). Her books have reached bestseller lists in Canada and the United States and been translated into multiple languages. Fortune often sets her novels in lakeside small-town settings inspired by Barry's Bay, Ontario, where she spent part of her youth.
