Sandra Brown (born March 12, 1948) is an American bestselling author known for romantic suspense and thriller novels. She began publishing in 1981 (also using the pen names Rachel Ryan, Laura Jordan and Erin St. Claire) and has written more than 70 New York Times bestsellers, with over 80 million copies in print worldwide. Her work has been translated into multiple languages and several novels have been adapted for television. Brown has received numerous honors including the International Thriller Writers' "Thriller Master" designation and a Romance Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award. She lives in Texas.
