Jean-Christophe Grangé (born 15 July 1961) is a French journalist, international reporter, novelist and screenwriter best known for dark, fast-paced crime thrillers such as Les Rivières pourpres (Blood-Red Rivers) and L'Empire des loups (Empire of the Wolves). He worked as a freelance reporter for magazines including Paris Match, National Geographic and The Sunday Times before publishing his first novel in 1994; several of his books have been adapted for film and television.
