Beartown

In the small, isolated forest town of Beartown, hockey is the only thing that matters. The community’s hopes for a better future rest on the shoulders of the junior ice hockey team as they compete in the national semi-finals. A victory could bring federal funding and prestige back to the dying town. However, the pressure to win at all costs leads to a violent act during a celebratory party that leaves a young girl traumatized and a town divided. As the truth emerges, the residents of Beartown are forced to choose between their loyalty to the team and their sense of morality.
