One Tiny Turtle
This lyrical and informative non-fiction picture book follows the life cycle of the elusive and endangered loggerhead sea turtle. The story begins with a tiny turtle hatching on a beach and setting off to sea. For about thirty years, she swims the oceans, wandering thousands of miles as she searches for food. The narrative culminates when the full-grown turtle returns, one summer night, to the very same beach where she herself was born to lay her own eggs, thus beginning the cycle of life anew. The book also highlights the survival challenges faced by sea turtles and includes additional scientific facts about their biology and migration.
