Alice Sebold

Alice Sebold (born September 6, 1963) is an American author best known for her novel The Lovely Bones (2002) and her memoir Lucky (1999). Her work often addresses grief, memory, and the aftermath of violent crime. The Lovely Bones was a New York Times bestseller and was adapted into a feature film. In 2021 a man wrongfully convicted in connection with the assault Sebold described in Lucky was exonerated; Sebold publicly apologized for her role in his conviction.
