Alex Michaelides

Alex Michaelides is a British–Cypriot author and former screenwriter best known for his debut psychological thriller The Silent Patient (2019), which became an international bestseller and won the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Mystery & Thriller (2019). He was born in Cyprus to a Greek Cypriot father and an English mother, studied English at Trinity College, Cambridge, trained in psychotherapy, and previously worked in film before turning to novels.
