Ken Akamatsu (赤松 健) is a Japanese manga artist and politician, best known for creating the popular series Love Hina and Negima! Magister Negi Magi. He debuted professionally in 1993, founded the digital manga distributor J-Comi (Manga Library Z) for out-of-print works, and has been an advocate for freedom of expression in manga. In 2022 he was elected to Japan's House of Councillors and has continued to work on manga and public service initiatives.
