Karen Marie Moning

Karen Marie Moning (born November 1, 1964) is an American novelist best known for the Fever urban-fantasy series and the Highlander historical/paranormal romance series. She began publishing in 1999 with the Highlander novels, winning the RITA Award in 2001, and later shifted to urban fantasy set largely in Dublin with the Fever books, several of which reached New York Times bestseller lists. She holds a BA in Society & Law from Purdue University and previously worked in insurance and as a bartender and computer consultant before becoming a full-time writer.
