Patricia Briggs (born December 21, 1965) is an American novelist best known for the Mercy Thompson urban fantasy series and the Alpha and Omega novels. She began publishing in 1993 and writes primarily urban fantasy and paranormal fiction, often featuring strong supernatural protagonists and richly built supernatural communities. She lives in Benton City, Washington.
