Matt Haig (born 3 July 1975) is a British novelist and journalist who writes fiction and non-fiction for adults, young adults and children. His books—often blending speculative elements with human themes—include Reasons to Stay Alive, The Midnight Library, A Boy Called Christmas and How to Stop Time. He has won awards including the Nestlé/Smarties Children's Book Prize and the Books Are My Bag Readers' Award and his work has been translated into many languages.
