Elisabetta Dami

Elisabetta Maria Dami is an Italian children's author best known for creating the globally successful Geronimo Stilton and Thea Stilton book series. Born in Milan, she began her career in her family's publishing house, Dami Editore, at age 13. Inspired by her volunteer work in pediatric hospitals, she created the character Geronimo Stilton to bring humor and adventure to children. An avid adventurer in her own right, Dami has earned pilot and parachutist licenses, traveled extensively, and participated in marathons. Her works have been translated into dozens of languages and sold hundreds of millions of copies worldwide.
