Karen Beaumont is a New York Times bestselling author of many picture books for children, best known for I Ain't Gonna Paint No More!, Move Over, Rover! (a 2007 Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book) and I Like Myself!. She has received multiple American Library Association Notable Book citations and numerous state children’s choice awards. Beaumont grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and Gold Beach, Oregon, and lives in California.
