Amy Hest

Amy Hest is an American author of picture books and novels for young readers. Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, she worked as a library page and in children's book publishing before becoming a full-time writer. She is the author of over fifty books for children, including the New York Times bestseller Kiss Good Night and the Sam and Mrs. Bear books. Hest is a three-time Christopher Medal winner and a winner of the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award. She lives in New York City.
