Marie-Louise Gay

Marie-Louise Gay (born June 17, 1952) is a Canadian author and illustrator of over sixty children's books in English and French. Born in Quebec City and based in Montreal, her work includes the Stella and Sam series, novels and picture books that have been published internationally and adapted for theatre and animation. She has received multiple awards, including two Governor General's Awards and the Vicky Metcalf Award, and is known for combining warm, whimsical illustrations with gentle, imaginative stories for young readers.
