Joy Cowley
Joy Cowley is a prolific and celebrated New Zealand author, best known for her extensive body of children's literature, including the globally popular Mrs. Wishy-Washy series. Born in Levin, New Zealand, she began her writing career in the 1960s with novels and short stories for adults before focusing on children's books, educational readers, and picture books. She has written over 600 titles and has received numerous honors for her contributions to literacy and children's literature, including the Order of New Zealand.
