Joanne Fluke (born Joanne Gibson; also published as Joanne Fischmann) is an American novelist best known for the Hannah Swensen 'cozy mystery' series, which combines small-town sleuthing with recipes and baking. The series began with Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder (2001) and has produced multiple New York Times bestsellers as well as Hallmark Channel adaptations. Fluke grew up in Swanville, Minnesota, and later lived in Southern California.
