Nancy Pickard

Nancy Pickard (born September 19, 1945) is an American crime novelist best known for her Jenny Cain series and several stand-alone novels, including The Virgin of Small Plains. A recipient of multiple genre awards (Agatha, Macavity, Anthony, Shamus), she has served on the board of the Mystery Writers of America and as president of Sisters in Crime. She holds a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and lives in Kansas.
