C. J. Box (Charles James Box Jr., born November 9, 1958) is an American bestselling author known for the Joe Pickett series and several standalone novels and short stories. His work—translated into multiple languages—has won the Edgar Award, Anthony Award, Macavity Award, Gumshoe Award, Barry Awards and other honors. Several of his books have been adapted for television, and Box serves as an executive producer on TV adaptations based on his work.
