Alissa Heyman is a writer and editor who received an M.F.A. in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. She has edited anthologies such as The Best Poems of the English Language and has abridged and adapted titles in Sterling's Big Book series, including The Big Book of Horror, The Big Book of Fairies, and The Big Book of Pirates. Her children's book Twelve Dancing Unicorns (illus. Justin Gerard) was published in 2014.
