Wolfram Hänel (born 1956) is a German author best known for his extensive work in children’s and young adult literature as well as plays and radio dramas. Since his first children’s book in 1987 he has published over 100 books (including novels, picture books and stage works), has written under several pseudonyms, and has received awards including the Kurt-Morawietz-Literature Prize and the Friedrich-Gerstäcker-Preis. He lives and works in Hannover and Berlin.
