Patrisse Cullors

Patrisse Marie Khan-Cullors Brignac is an American artist, organizer, and writer from Los Angeles, California. She is a co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement and has been an activist for criminal justice reform, prison abolition, LGBTQ rights, and community organizing. Cullors is the author (with asha bandele) of the memoir When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir (2018). She has worked as a performance artist, scholar, and public speaker and has received multiple honors and awards for her activism.
